The priceless art pieces hand-woven in keeping with the best traditions of Arabic calligraphy will be demonstrated at the up-coming II International exhibition of calligraphy.
The works of this kind are usually created many a month. The master should have the highest professional skills not only in calligraphy, but in tapestry as well. This is all what our new participant does. The tapestries are made by a famous Tunisian artist Nja Mahdaoui.
He exhibited his art works in many famous museums allover the world. Graduate of the Academy of Arts of Santa Andrea in Rome & of the Ecole du Louvre – he has received a number of distinctions and national and international prizes, such as the “Grand Prix des Arts et des Lettres Tunisia”. He takes part in group artistic exhibitions: Biennial exhibitions, museums and galleries. Nja Mahdaoui is a member of the International Jury of the Arts Prize of UNESCO.
One more art piece – an aircraft decorated by Nja Mahdaoui with Arabic script – is planned to be demonstrated at the next aviashow in Zhukovsky.
The masterpieces of this illustrious calligrapher will be exhibited at the II International exhibition of calligraphy held in Moscow from October 14th to November 14th, 2009. Don’t miss it!
