Veliky Novgorod has hosted a series of meetings between the MVK Company, the working team and the members of the organizing committee of the 3rd International Exhibition of Calligraphy. The Committee for Tourism, Culture and Archiving of the Novgorod Region saw a meeting chaired by A.Y. Shaburov, Director General of the Project, which led to the approval of the Exhibition format. The highlight of the year 2010 for the city of Veliky Novgorod will start on September 10 (Friday). The city will be crowded with many globally recognized calligraphers and painters who will hold a diversity of master-classes and calligraphic shows. The idea to organize the Museum Night gained all vote. Thus far, on the night of Saturday – Sunday, apart from the major exposition of the 3rd International Exhibition of Calligraphy, a number of museums within the Novgorod Kremlin and the Museum of the Novgorod Artistic Culture will open their doors.
The meeting between MVK and A.F. Gabitov, the First Vice Governor of the Novgorod Region, brought agreements on the dynamic cooperation between such towns of the region as Borovichi, Staraya Russa, Okulovka, etc. as well as with the city of Saint-Petersburg — all to attract more tourists and guests to the Event.
Y.I. Bobryshev, the Mayor of Veliky Novgorod, confirmed the readiness of the city to host the fair and organize feed points. What is more, numerous issues regarding PR activity and marketing efforts were settled together with transportation challenges (the public transport will run daily until 3 a.m. during the exhibition days) and organization of concerts and shows on the very first day of the Event. V.Y. Pilchin, Technical Director to the Project, held negotiations with the EMERCOM representatives (the Emergency Control Ministry) to secure increased safety of all visitors of the 3rd International Exhibition of Calligraphy, while E.V. Isaeva, the Curator of the Project, met with the Eparchy representatives to find out their opining on the calligraphic contest to be held as part of the Exhibition.
The students of the Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav the Wise were offered to visit the first presentation lecture within the scope of preparation activities. The lecture covered the issues of the Promotion of the International Project: Media, PR and Design. It was conducted by D.S. Tsukanov, PR Director of MVK CJSC.
A.K. Kvasnikov, Deputy Director of the Project, successfully settled the issues of accommodation and meals for the organizing and technical teams of MVK CJSC in the city of Veliky Novgorod.
We are readily preparing towards the 3rd International Exhibition of Calligraphy. We are gaining considerable momentum. And there is no doubt that this Exhibition will become the brightest and most important event for Veliky Novgorod this year!
